This section presents data on the different household budget items. The Chapter 3 of the Financial Stability Report (issued by the Portuguese Central Bank) describes the financial situation of households, including data on mortgages and credit for consumption and the behaviour of the debt servicing ability. Household budget surveys are the basis for the analysis of income and consumption, enabling interesting comparisons between Portugal and other countries.
