The station of Codessoso is integrated in the “Ecopista do Tâmega” built in the deactivated rail way line area. The “Ecopista” was designed to ensure the pedestrian circulation or bicycle circulation. It is a smooth track, accessible for all, with a slightly slope.
The Station of Codessoso is located between “Chapa (Amarante) and Celorico de Basto”. Its construction, by the Company of the rail way of the North of Portugal , begin in 1929. The station lost its railway activity in 1990, when the section of the Tâmega Line between Amarante and Arco de Baúlhe was deactivated.
