Description
The Santa Justa and Pias hills are located approximately 6 km from the city of Porto, being recently classified as Protected Landscape. This Protected Landscape houses an extraordinary heritage, being possible to find geological, archeological, cultural and natural testimonies of the past, as well as favorable leisure conditions. The presence of several species and high ecological value habitats stands out in this region. The Paleozoic geological formations are older than 350 million years. It should be noted  the existence of several pitfalls and cuttings, evidence of the presence of the Roman people and the gold mining dating from the I to III centuries.
