The Celorico de Basto Railway Station is the central point of the Eco-Trail of Tâmega, built on the channel space of the inactivated train line between Amarante and Arco de Baúlhe. The Eco-Trail is intended for a pedestrian or bicycle passage. It is an even track and accessible to all, with a very slight slope.
The Station is located in the middle of the urban centre of the municipality. Here you may visit an Interpretative Centre and learn more about the history of the Tâmega. You can also appreciate and buy some local products at the various sales points; find accommodation in the building or at the hostel; renting of bicycles to do the route, change clothing and take a refreshing shower at the end of the journey.
