The engravings of Mazouco, are  located in a vertical plain of outcrops,  at the confluence of the Albagueira stream with the river  Douro, consisting of  a main  animal, the horse, and traces of the hind quarters of two more, perhaps also equines. With realistic feature, shows the artist’s intention to give the impression of movement. Through these stylistic characteristics this engraving date back to the Final Upper Paleolithic,( sub-period Medium  Magdalenian, about 13,000 / 12,000 b.C).
