AEVP - Association of Port Wine Companies - is a private non-profit institution founded in January 1975 and based in Vila Nova de Gaia.

AEVP brings together 15 Members who currently represent about 90% of the total trade of Port Wine and 35% of the total trade of Douro wines with PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication).

 The Educational Centre of AEVP is a multimedia and interactive centre about the history and culture of Port Wine and the Demarcated Region of the Douro.

The purpose of this centre is to inform young people about Port wine throughout its life cycle, from production to final consumption, as well as to disseminate the Wine in Moderation Programme.

Visits for groups, in Portuguese, all year round and by appointment only. Price: € 3,5 per person.
